The Ninjamatics’ 2011 Canadian Weblog Awards Winners!

Last year I volunteered to judge Canadian blogs which covered a vast genre.  Forty-six of us were given an allotted group of blogs to critique and what I liked most is that the sites I had been given were not all from a food group. The first round was quite extensive…I think I had almost 30 to review. The final round was whittled down to a shortlist of 10 blogs under the headings of Life and Lifetime Achievements category. It was at first a bit of a daunting exercise mainly because judging was new to me and the amount of sites I had to analyze. But once I got the hang of what Ninjamatic’s wanted, it was relatively easy. I had to choose the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category using Ninjamatic’s ten criteria for content and design, plus points for category fit and a registered domain name.

The 2011 winners are listed here. Drop by the sites, congratulate them and perhaps start following them. To view the list of juror’s, click here.

I’m so glad that you enjoyed it!

The number of blogs in the 1st round always seems daunting, but once you get into the swing of scoring, it’s kind of fun.

Thank you for being a juror!
