the easiest no-churn ice cream
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. Rah! Rah! Rah! I’m an artisanal kinda gal when it comes to ice cream. The other day I bought a small container from the farmers’ market; salted caramel with brownie chunks. It didn’t take long to consume and I was left wanting more. I follow Eloise on Instagram @fitwafflekitchen and recently she shared her salted caramel ice cream. I had forgotten how easy it is to make without an ice cream maker. The craving for more of this delicious dessert just got better as there are only four ingredients and ready to enjoy within six hours!
you will need
1 can dulce de leche condensed milk
2 cups heavy cream
brownie chunks (I used two-bite brownies)
1 tablespoon instant coffee
method
Place a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan in the freezer. In a large bowl empty contents of condensed milk.
In another bowl, whip the cream until peaks form. Fold one cup of whipped cream into the condensed milk. Sprinkle in the instant coffee.
Then add the remainder of the cream and fold until well blended. Pour half of the mixture into the chilled loaf pan.
Place small brownie chunks over the surface and top with the remaining cream. Smooth top, cover with plastic wrap, and freeze until firm (5 to 6 hours).
the culinary chase’s note:
Omit the brownies and mix in things like chunks of chocolate, favourite cookie crumbs, jams, and fresh fruit. Enjoy!
